It feels good to be writing in here...yet again.
Although nothing new has really happened.
Same old, same old.

I've been staying at my boyfriend's house a lot. We've been making a lot of arrangements for hotels and things like that, for when we go London in August, to see Tool- three nights on the run :D hehe.

Well, twice in London, once in Manchester to the Apollo. That should be something to treasure in years to come.

I've been looking for a job- god, the whole process is appalling. I've been checking in at the job centre regularly- I've been finding a few I could do and then I'm back to square one, one way or another. For example, they only want permanent people, or the hours are too long for me, etc etc. I don't want to spend my entire summer holiday just working- that's not what it's about. I just want a casual job, to earn a bit of money to save up and so on. I've applied at a supermarket, but I'm starting to feel uneasy as to whether to take the job, as stupid as that sounds as I've heard the company can be harsh to work for...with hours and so forth. I dunno. I guess I will await a reply and go from there with it. As always.

My parents are going away on 'holiday', well, more like a mini-break to Devon for a couple of days, from tomorrow until next Thursday. They're meeting up with my brothers and their partners along the way- so it's kind of like a family getaway. I would've come, but I already promised my friend Mike that I'd come up to Lancaster and visit him for Extrav!, their Uni's end of year celebration/party, which this year has a Queen tribute band playing :p hehe. Which could be pretty cool.

I'm staying at Gary's for the week whilst my parents are away, I did get mithered to death to go with them to Devon- but I feel it is for the best that I stay here. I love staying with Gary, he's the BEST. We have such a great time whenever we're together and to be honest, if I had to choose between staying alone at home and coming to be with my boyfriend, well there's really no competition, is there?

End of.

I am now back from Download.

The weekend was AMAZING. How else can I describe it? It just was.

I got really drunk, dirty, got to see tonnes of bands and just generally have a laugh with friends.

Such a shame we were camped next to ignorant cunts though, who barely spoke a word to us the whole time. I would've been up for making new friends, talking to some new people.

I've even come back with a bit of a tan! hehe. My face, arms and legs look rather brown and I'm pleased to say I have not overly burnt myself.

Bands I got to see: Megadeth, Dragonforce, Paramore, Enter Shikari, about 10 mins of Korn (some korn fan started on me and in general we found out most korn fans are knobs), Suicidal Tendencies, Turisas, Hell Yeah, Bring me the Horizon, Machine Head, Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Necro and Linkin Park.

On the Sunday I saw Papa Roach, Mastodon, Napalm Death, Killswitch Engage and Iron Maiden.

We missed out on watching Dimmu Borgir or Cult of Luna however :( grim.

Anyway I just wanted to post this and say I had an amazing time and I'm feeling a little bit of the post-festival blues right now. *sigh*...

Ahhh, it feels good to be back.

I HAVE FINISHED MY SECOND YEAR OF UNIVERSITY!! Argghhhh.

Sorry for that moment of excitement...considering I finished on Friday, I should've gotten over that little fact by now :p But yes, I haven't been able to update because I've not had the 'net at my house in Sheffield for the past THREE WEEKS! Grrrr.

Actually, that is a lie. It's been working for some people, but well...not for me. I'm guessing this is partly due to me being quite high up in the attic, partly because people have been messing about/creating a new password for it to work...and also, taking away the router from the middle floor and moving it further away from the landing- causing me to get excited at the prospect that it might work and then flounder aboout frustratingly, when it doesn't.

I have passed my time and come online at the IC (that big building/library with loads of computers) which has helped me to pass the time somewhat. I have managed to do my work and print it off on these computers, otherwise I would've been fucked. Anyway...I've been using those computers for 'net access, etc.

I got soooo wasted on Thursday night, when I went out to Plug with my housemates as part of the last night out in second year. I kinda had to go out...it would've been wrong if I didn't. So I got absolutely bladdered and forgot the dangers of mixing drinks! Much to my discovery the next day...when I was being sick no end, inbetween trying to finish off and hand in my final assessment piece- my Quark page. That was a heinous morning. But, I recovered shortly after and all was well again. Once I handed in the final part of my JNL208 assessment, I heaved a sigh of relief, in knowing that I have NO WORK at all now until September. *Phew*.

I bought a book called 'Eating and why it ethically matters' (or something to that effect) by Peter Singer and Jim Mason. It's pretty interesting and I read a lot of it whilst 'sunbathing' on the steps of City Hall. Whilst I had an amazing lunch (loads of fresh food I thought to ease the hangover), so I got an avocado and spinach salad sandwich, with a bag of sweet potato vegetable crisps. Plus a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice and carrot puree. Mmmm. All from M&S. Yum.

I bought my two housemates a little going away gift each since I won't ever see them again (they're going abroad next year). Then I went for a nap. Started packing...and oh, after dinner, I bought a tub of Ben and Jerry's cookie dough and ate that in front of the telly all night, watching TV with my housemates. We watched Big Brother and Ugly Betty - was pretty fun!!! Most of my packing had been done by that point, but I decided to do some more, just incase I had forgotten anything, haha. Then I slept...

Woke up about 7am yesterday morning. Got myself up and ready, packed all my things, ate breakfast, etc. The first person I said goodbye to that morning was Dr Laura, as she was up about the same time as me for breakfast. I took all my things downstairs to the bottom floor...and then waited for my Dad to arrive. He came about 9.15am or something like that. It didn't take long to put everything in the car and then- I almost forgot to buy some Vegebangers, but I bought some and then we were on our way, after I'd said goodbye to all of my housemates.

It's quite sad leaving, but I'm more excited about being at home to be honest, just because it means I get to do fuck all, lounge about and GET 14 WEEKS OFF! (bar a week of work experience, I guess...) hmmm. Some good times I feel, are in store this summer...and I can't wait!!!

I got home yesterday, about 11/11.30am. Thereby, I unpacked a little, showered and rushed around before going to Gary's house for 1.30. He hadn't come home from work yet, so I waited around talking to his little sister Molly and his Mum. Then we were in a bit of a rush...we got the bus to Liverpool, to buy our Download tickets!!! WE'VE FINALLY GOT THEM. YAYYYYY.

...and we're going to Download next Wednesday. (That's in 3 days!) Arrrghh.

Soooo sooo excitable right now.

We watched around half of the 'Fantastic Four' last night. It looked good, but due to tiredness/takeaway and various interruptions, I guess we didn't enjoy it as much as we could've done, so we turned it off :( I was really enjoying it too. More than I thought I would, at first.

Today, I am lounging about in bed. I had some strange dreams about smoking pot :/ weird. As I've never smoked, let alone pot! haha.

The plan for today is to get the rest of the things I will need for Download...a rolling mat, some waterproofs, might get a new pair of trainers...but I already have some, so will probably just use those to be honest (even though they're pink- I got them for cheap, damn it!) I'm unsure as to how the weather will be next week...so I'm guessing I will just take a variety of clothes (but not too many), just enough to be sure. Like I'm taking some shorts and a bikini top incase it gets hot (which it may well do, looking at yesterday's almost perfect weather). Some jeans or some similar type pants, a skirt, a couple of T-shirts and a jacket/hoody type top. Plus the obvious change of underwear otherwise that would be icky :p hehe.

So that's what I'm going to try to do today. Other than that, not much. So I'm going to go now and actually live it. Ooh think I'm having a roast dinner at Wetherspoons later. The last time I tried it there was AMAZING. I had butternut squash, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, brocolli, carrots, gravy...stuffing...mmmmm. Was well fit and yummy. Bit pricy, but worth it, definitely.

Right I am off.

C-iao.
